Scouting Report

Hitting

A tremendous athlete with an intriguing combination of defense, speed, instincts, and discipline at the plate. Uses terrific hand-eye to make consistent contact and recognize pitch types. Bloom understands the importance of actually having a patient approach at the plate. Bloom has a quality that many top rated hitting prospects possess: an ability to RAKE. By this, We mean Bloom has an ability to put the bat head squarely on the ball and get hits on pitches he should have no business swinging at.

Base-Running & Defense

An extreme aggressive base runner, Bloom will intimidate most infielders with his unobtrusive feet first / hook slides to take extra bases and break up double plays. His speed and athleticism allows him to steal extra bases when most players wouldn’t even consider it. Defensively, Bloom is strong right fielder with a plus accurate throwing arm. Covers vast amounts of turf in the outfield and puts himself in position to attempt plays others wouldn’t even attempt to make. Bloom is a plus defender in the outfielder; attacks deep fly’s with reckless abandon and possesses a strong, accurate throwing arm. These abilities garnered Bloom a Gold Glove someday.
