At a meeting held in Quonset Pizza House, WHAT? Softball is formally organized. Players nominate Scott Wilson as Team president, and Travis Platt as general manager.
Nov. 20, 1999
Team WHAT?-Softball is christened in Waukegan, amid rumors that the club wants to go Co-Ed Ball only.
Mar. 2, 2000
An agreement is signed which lands the Team on Tuesday Night Municipal League under the nick-name (Guppies’).
April. 20, 2000
Jerry Vasquez looked throughout the County for his 4th outfielder "missing link," as he had so often in the past. The Old Coach located his man playing in the Warren Leagues. The final piece of the Squad puzzle was in place with the arrival of Jon Frailey.
May 6, 2000
Playing as the Rebels’ for the first time, the Team was defeat by Jester’s Pub, 16 – 7 score, in the Spring Tune-Up tournament.
May 11, 2000
Team drafts Adam Miller as there first ever franchise draft pick.
May 16, 2000
The Rebels’ play their first Official game on Webster N.E. diamond; the club loses both games to the Bally Muck.
May 23, 2000
The Rebels’ defeats 10th inning Pub 18 - 13, behind Jerry Vasquez for the club’s first victory.
June 10, 2000
Jonathan Schumacher and Jeff Reiher were late-season additions to the 2000 summer Squad who finished three shy of a playoff berth with a 7-13 record. Five members of the Squad collected double-digits in base hits.
July 11, 2000
Due to unfavorable considerations All-Star Outfielder / General Manager, Travis Platt resigns his position on the Team.
Aug. 8, 2000
The Rebels’ ended up with an 9 - 11 record, missing out in the playoffs.
Dec. 8, 2000
The Board of Directors voted 11-to-1, to merge with Go jo’s.
