Scouting Report

Hitting

Thomas Wolfer has extremely strong hands and wrists; plus-plus bat speedwith leverage; exaggerated hand hitch in load was much calmer. Wolfer stillneeds to refinement his approach, too often he went up free swinging anddid not adjust to the situation. Surprising, Wolfer current size and strengthlevel gives him the ability to lift the ball over the infield and into the outfieldalleys; present game power is pull-side; drives ball with authority and backspin into right center. His power will play in any ballpark. Wolfer tends togets himself down in counts often but has a relative idea of the strike zone.

Base-Running & Defense

Thomas Wolfer gets out of the box and accelerated; stays in an athletic stance with swift strides. Easy natural speed with consistent plus times to second. With strong natural instincts Wolfer can produce extra base potential. Wolfer has good instincts in the outfield, with a good first step and able to sufficiently track a ball hit directly over his head and make strong catches. Wolfer plus speed and agility allows him to take smart routes as he covers vast amounts of turf and puts himself in position to attempt plays.
