In the long history of the WHAT? Men’s Softball franchise, which goes back to 2000 when they were called the Rebels, the 2017 team won the third-most regular season games in franchise history. Only the 2014 and 2013 team of Joe Yonke, Clark Collins and Ralph Lozano won more.
Shortstop Danny Morales was the most impressive offensive player on the team. Morales was neck and neck down the stretch pitcher Ralph Lozano for the squad lead in home runs. Morales set a career-high in hits (55) homers (15), slugging percentage (1.356) and OPS (.652).
