2018  S e a s o n

The 2018 WHAT? season was a season in Lake County Softball. The team finished with a 42–18 summer record. They finished third in the Mundelein on Tuesdays, 6 games behind in the Waukegan on Friday nights. The WHAT? Squads scored 784 runs and allowed 591 runs for a run differential of + 193.

The Squad lived up to their own lofty standards, chasing the Henny Monstas club down the stretch for their first Monday night South title since 2014, seventh overall, while trying that same 2013 team for most regular season league night victories in franchise history.

Summer League Standing

The 2018 WHAT? Monday Night Summer Squad won 17 games. This was there 12th Summer League night Championship in 20 years. The ’018 Club were pretty stacked between Ryan Siembal, Brad Callahan, Tommy Dubicki, and Matt Cross as power hitters in the lineup. The pitching was also stacked between Aaron Archibald and Cooper Trodler who were big names in 2018.

During the season, the WHAT? Monday Squad strung together a few extended periods of winning, including an eight-game win streak to close out the season and several three-game winning streaks as well. The best their opponents could muster was a five-game winning streak in late June and nothing beyond two-straight wins after the mid-season.
