Statistically Speaking:
Siembal is nothing if not durable. Injuries have gotten in the way -- in 2016 it was a tendinitis issue and shoulder pain in 2017 -- but many still believe Siembal will hit for average and power as he matures. Reviews are mixed, but most still like his bat speed from the right side. He's got a good arm and played good defense at third base this past season.
Upside Potential:
No matter what position he plays, his bat will be special and has All-Star potential. Obviously, if he can run, his value goes up exponentially, but the WHAT? squad will find a spot for the bat one way or the other.
They Said It:
"Ryan brings a right-handed power bat to our organization. He's a guy that can do damage. He has a chance to be a run-producer/middle-of-the order type on offense. And he's a better defender and athlete than he gets credit for." -- Jack Glasscock – WHAT? Scouting director
