Statistically Speaking:

One should never read too much into Lake County Summer League stats, but it will be interesting to see if Jonny Yarnall can build off of his rookie season .611 OBP there at age 22 this past season. Granted, it was just 39 games, but Yarnall had Zero strike-outs with 15 reach on base-on-balls in 149 plate appearance, placing him seventh overall on the team Plate Appearances per Strikeout stat chart.

Upside Potential:

A workhorse who can log 60-plus games per season with plus speed on the base path. Top-of-the-order run producer who is a constant extra base threat.

They Said It:

"Did you expect that? No, but who would? How many first year ball players do that? Only a few. It was fun to watch. He's only a part of a team. And he's a very unselfish, team-oriented guy. He's very coachable, he buys in. All the little cliches, they fit Jonny." -- Rusty Kuntz – Director of Amateur Scouting
