Statistically Speaking:

Solid overall outfielder; no one tool wows, but as a collection they compliment one another; 4th outfielder type for most; gap-to-gap outfielder who can spell the center fielders when needed or in a short stretch if injury; see a .550 type with 12-ish extra base hits; profile slides to a 4th outfielder without projected cleanup of swing consistency; should reach competitive levels quickly; complimentary player on a contending team.

Upside Potential:

Line drive stroke - geared towards contact; hands work to stay inside of pitch balls; little lift in swing path; presently not adept at creating post-contact extension; gap-to-gap doubles hitter with occasional over-the-fence power. Reads fielders well enough on those extra base decision making skills. Awkward going to his left; reads ball off the bat; takes good routes and does not drift; displays strong outfield fundamentals; believe left field is the best fit for over the long-run.

They Said It:

"Jason Sanchez has a fairly fringy tool set across the board, but he's a gamer with a knack for contact and good instincts. He could see some real live action for a club down the road, but otherwise projects as a quality organizational player." -- John Redcorn – Director of Athletics
