Scouting Report

Hitting

The Tremper High Scholar is having a very good offensive season in a down year fornewly young ball players, as others have struggled with the move to the new SportsPark complex. Jake Hanson, as they say, wears the uniform well, with an excellent softball body. He’s got very good bat speed and with good mechanics and looks like he should be an above – average hitter at the next level. Hanson can hit to all parts of the fields, with his power — which should be Major League average — going mostly to the opposite side. Jake Hanson is a generational talent who should blossom into a star in the upper leagues under the right tutelage.

Base-Running & Defense

Jake Hanson has above-average speed and is very smart on the base paths, giving him the potential to be a extra base stealing threat. Defensively, Jake Hanson speed plays him well, with above-average range and the instincts to play above-average and could be a plus one day. With all those tools, Hanson is thought of as one of the better pitcher / outfielder combination prospects in the leagues; any team will undoubtedly see his talent and take him in the early going of the first rounds.
