Scouting Report

Hitting

Danny Morales natural bat-to-ball swing is exquisite. His superb barrel control is evident, along with his bat speed. The most important part of Morales game is his approach at the plate and how he is able to conduct his at-bats. Danny Morales barrel skills are tremendous and he will hit at the higher levels. Morales brute strength and excellent hand-eye provides his above-average torque for the ball to jump off his bat. Morales trust his hands implicitly, hitting more liners currently than flies. His extra base hit power is going to come soon. His length and extension with his hand sare a huge indicators.

Base-Running & Defense

Morales is quick out of box. Good instincts enable speed to play up;Morales is an aggressive but smart base runner, takes the extra base and makes good reads when the ball is in play. Instincts and first-step quickness at third base are fantastic that enables pure tools to play up. Morales reads ground balls very well off the bat and gets to his spot. His quickness/reads allow him to consistently get in front and center himself on tough balls. His range is solid along with his soft hands.Morales elite arm strength makes his throws look easy and they stay on a line to 1B. In a pinch if absolutely necessary he can play the middle infield.
