Chris Olson is a tremendous athlete with an intriguing combination of power, speed, instincts, and discipline at the plate. Olson uses his hand-eye to make consistent contact and recognize pitch types. Olson understands the importance of actually having a patient approach at the plate. He has a quality that many top rated hitting prospects possess: ability to RAKE. By this, We mean Chris Olson has an ability to put the bat head squarely on the ball and get hits on pitches he should have no business swinging at.
Base-Running & Defense
Chris Olson is an extreme aggressiveness base runner and likely to get even bolder when he learns the opponents outfielders. Olsons speed and athleticism allows him to take extra bases and break up double plays when most other ball players wouldn’t even consider it. Chris Olson is an average defender at First Base, attacks grounders with reckless abandon and possesses a strong, accurate throwing arm. These abilities may garner Chris Olson a Gold Glove some day.
