Statistically Speaking:
With a young five-tool player like Archibald, it's a mistake to hone in on the numbers too much, but a few things are worth noting. He raised his career average 52 points during his last two seasons (to .557, from a .505), albeit in just 125 games. His on-base
numbers also improved, from .557 to .639. But he showed more power during the 2017 season, with a .733 slugging percentage compared to .581 during the 2015 season. Still, his OPS jumped 62 points during his last two seasons.
Upside Potential:
A player with those tools has no ceiling. Archibald on-base instincts makes him a top-of-the-order type, but some say he may develop more into a five hole hitter that puts him squarely in the middle of the lineup for years to come.
