Scouting Report
Hitting
Guarini is among the game’s most patient hitters, unafraid to take several pitches before he sees something he likes. Capable of handling almost any type of pitch, Guarini is equally adept at pulling inside pitches or taking outside pitches the opposite way. He takes full advantage of Belvedere North Park’s short left-field porch, frequently wrapping home runs down the left field line. He loses some power against left handed pitching, but as a ground ball and line-drive gap hitter,he loses little in overall effectiveness.
Base-Running & Defense
Guarini still is working on being a polished baserunner, and he likely will get bolder when he learns the opponents outfielders. He is known for his running and hitting, which makes his defensive contributions underrated. His speed and athleticism allow him to cover vast amounts of turf and put himself in position to attempt plays others would have no chance on. He has a decent arm, and can make it look better with good positioning and a quick release.
