Scouting Report

Hitting

While Adam Blair doesn’t have any true plus tools, he can do everything well on the field. He’ll ground out a fair amount of time, but he’ll also hit his fair amount of singles. He makes more contact than some people thought he would coming out of the lower rec leagues, and while he won’t compete for batting titles, he’ll be just fine. He’s got decent power and above-average speed, the kind of player who could hit around .500 .

Base-Running & Defense

Adam Blair will make good base path decisions and will take more attempts on extra bases as he learns the nuances of the game more. Blair has an average, but not terrible, arm from the outfield. He once played the middle infield, but got the yips and asks to move to the outfield. He’s got more courage and strength than it would seem, and while his approach is unorthodox, Blair can play all four outfield positions and would be fine in left center. Relatively new to tournament ball, Blair comes a long way in terms of his defensive skills in the outfield.
