Statistically Speaking:

Ben Hoyt exhibits a potent combination of hit and power tools from the right side. His swing is often described as fluid, but it also comes with plenty of violence, thanks to the way he utilizes his lower half. He exhibits a mature approach as well, one that helps him pick up walks at a good clip.

Upside Potential:

Primarily an outfielder, Hoyt added significant strength and reworked his right-handed swing to allow him to hit balls harder and drive them in the air more easily.

They Said It:

“Ben Hoyt also comes with outstanding makeup and quality instincts that help his tools play up on the bases and in the field. His solid speed and aggressive nature can translate into 30 extra bases. His arm earns fringy to solid grades but he compensates with a good internal clock and a quick release. He has the fast hands and feet to play at least an average outfielder." -- Jack Glasscock – WHAT? Scouting director
