Scouting Report

Hitting

Jeremiah Johnson is an aggressive hitter who often will swing at the first pitch. However, he has become more adept at working counts. He has made great strides in being able to handle in-side high pitching. In addition, his extra-base power has grown considerably over the last two months of the season, as he has become stronger and shortened his stroke to allow him to drive pitches into the gaps. He is dangerous on pitches away, which he often takes to deep right-center. He occasionally will turn on an inside pitch for power.

Base-Running & Defense

The Club have worked with Johnson to pick his spots on the bases better. He always looks to take the extra base and will challenge outfielders with his above-average speed. Jeremiah has worked especially hard on improving his defensive skills and has made himself into a solid infielder. His range is average, but he is sure handed and can turn the double play with consistency.
