Scouting Report

Hitting

When healthy, Ron Inden is the complete package. With the potential of hitting 15 or more home runs a year without much effort. He has plus raw power that he’s just starting to tap into. Inden has an excellent approach at the plate, which features a dangerous combination of power, contact hitting and strike zone judgment. Inden generally takes the first strike but will punish a pitcher who starts him with a fat meatball. Much of Inden confidence and willingness to wait out a pitcher stems from his ability to hit with two strikes. Although he’s a strong RBI producer, Inden is more likely to contend for a batting title than a home-run crown because of his slightly uppercut stroke that produces line drives.

Base-Running & Defense

Ron Inden speed is average at this point, and he’s mostly a station-to-station base runner. However, he is an alert and aggressive base runner who will steal an extra base if the defense naps. His speed isn’t an asset or a liability.Ron Inden has worked especially hard on improving his defensive skills and has made himself into a solid infielder that rarely makes mental errors. His range is average, but he is sure handed and can turn the double play with consistency.
