Scouting Report

Hitting

David Hill has a swing viewed by many as unorthodox. He extends his front foot forward on its toes, subsequently shifting his weight forward and twisting his knee as a way to open his hips. As this happens, David lowers his hands with his front arm fully extended. The arm usually gets more flex as the swing gets underway, but when he maintains an extended front arm, he loses some of his power and can be busted inside.

Base-Running & Defense

An extreme aggressive base runner, David Hill will intimidate most infielders with his unobtrusive feet first / hook slides to take extra bases and break up double plays. Defensively, David Hill is strong out fielder with a plus accurate throwing arm. Covers vast amounts of turf in the out field and puts him self in position to attempt plays others wouldn’t even attempt to make.
